SERBIA OPEN 2011 - "From handicap to happy end" The Open Karate Championship of Serbia named "From handicap to happy end 2011" for persons with disabilities was held in Zrenjanin on 3th of December 2011, with total of 33 athletes from: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Klek, Becej, Tuzla (Bosnia and Hercegovina) and Osijek (National team Croatia).

The first Championship of Serbia for persons with special needs

DSCF60926Karate Federation of Serbia and Karate Association of Vojvodina, under the auspices of Novi Sad held the first Karate Championship Serbia for persons with special needs called "From handicap to happy end”. The Championship was held in Sports Hall “Slana Bara” in Novi Sad with total of 26 athletes from: Belgrade, KOVIN, Zrenjanin, Klek and BECEJ.

Despite prejudices and certain reserves regarding this action, this young people supported by their coaches and parents , were encouraged to participate and to be part of true competitive joy, happiness and friendship in this unique competition.
