Ernes Erko Kalac had been invited by the IPC (International Paralympic Commitee), representing the WKF and the DKV. There he met Sir Philip Craven, president of the International Paralympic Commitee (IPC) and introduced his concept „Karate for Handicapped Persons". In the course of the discussion Sir Philip Craven spread his arms and shouted out exaltedly: "Karate is sincerely welcome at the Paralympic Family. We´d love to give you space here."
