SERBIA OPEN 2011 - "From handicap to happy end" The Open Karate Championship of Serbia named "From handicap to happy end 2011" for persons with disabilities was held in Zrenjanin on 3th of December 2011, with total of 33 athletes from: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Klek, Becej, Tuzla (Bosnia and Hercegovina) and Osijek (National team Croatia).
WM in Paris 2012 Demonstration World-Cup or World Championship 2012 in Paris!

After the presentation of chairmen Wolfgang Weigert at his conference in Melaka/Malaysia, the executive-comittee of the WKF decided, that there will be either a demonstration,  a World-Cup or a World Championship for atheletes with disabilities

The third German championships for people with disabilities a full success

Together with the German championships of the achievement class, the German championships for people with disabilities took already place for the third time. 23 male and female participants in five classes from mental handicapped people to people with wheel chair meant a new participation record.

The shown achievements wrung respect and recognition from the audience. The highlight was the competition of the wheel chair drivers where the best present athlete and principal character of the Paralympicfilm Sigrid Karl from Munich got masterfully her third title.

The biggest television broadcasting stations of Germany ARD and ZDF reported for the first time about these championships what a novelty in the history of the karate disabled person's sport explains.

For the starters in the area mental disabilities it was at the same time the qualification for the Specialolympics Germany in Bremen at June. Here the German karate association is admitted as a demonstration sport.
